Bio
Denise Montgomery is the President/Owner of Mais Oui! Redesign, LLC. After successfully staging two of her own homes and selling them to the first buyers that came through the door for close to full asking price, she decided to start a company to help others prepare their homes to sell quickly and for the maximum return on their investment.
While researching the new field of home staging, she discovered interior redesign, a new decorating concept that honors the treasures that the client already owns. Here was her opportunity to combine her life-long passion for home decorating and excellent customer service, and to utilize her creative skills and training in floral design, home décor sewing and home decorating!
Denise completed her Foundations in Redesign and Professional Home Stager training through Redesigning Interiors in Chicago. Denise is a Charter member of the Society of Decorating Professionals (The SDP) and is nationally certified in Interior Redesign, Home Staging, and as Redesign and Staging Trainer. Denise served as the moderator on a panel of home staging experts at The SDP's 2006 Conference in Erie, PA. Her talents and expertise have been showcased in East Alabama Living, Flair, and Southern Views magazines as well as Central Alabama Business Journal.
As an SDP Certified Trainer, Denise is excited to coach and mentor other decorating professionals through Mais Oui! RedesignU -- Mais Oui! Redesign's new training division. Mais Oui! RedesignU offers an SDP approved five-day training program in Professional Redesigning-Staging and a two-day SDP approved Professional Home Staging seminar. Classes are being held in Auburn, Alabama during 2007, as well as in Greenville, NC on an ongoing basis.
Denise's diverse background includes executive/administrative positions in association management, human resources and corporate administration including special event planning for conferences, management seminars, and company-wide meetings and outings. Her experience as a Kentucky real estate agent has equipped her to effectively work with home sellers and their real estate agents. Denise earned her B.A. in Christian Education from Wheaton College in Illinois.
A native of northern Virginia, Denise spent a total of sixteen years in the Chicago area, seven years in Louisville, Kentucky and recently relocated to Greenville, North Carolina from Auburn, Alabama. Her many moves to new cities and homes due to her husband Mark's engineering career allow her to empathize with clients as they prepare to sell their house and/or as they settle into a new home.
A breast cancer survivor, Denise is deliberate about living each day to its fullest and about bringing joy to others by creating beautiful living spaces and encouraging others to reach their own goals as professional home stagers.
Her goal is that at the end of each redesign every client can say "Mais Oui!" or "Yes, of course . . . this is what I've always dreamt my home would be like!"
